When Sheila Johnson sold BET, the company she founded, she took some time off before choosing another venture. Falling in love with a certain part of the Virginia countryside, she thought it perfect for a resort, spa, and market. To make sure it would reflect the quality of her previous ventures, she turned to Grafik, and the Salamander brand was born.
